Ethos Lecture 2026
Topic: Poverty and Wealth, and the Pursuit of the Kingdom
Date: 29 October 2026, Thursday
Time: 8pm – 9.30pm
Venue: Trinity Theological College (MPH Level 1)
Speaker: Dr Clive Lim
Synopsis:
Jesus proclaims the coming of God’s Kingdom, blesses the poor, and warns of the spiritual dangers of wealth. Yet Scripture also calls those with resources to steward them faithfully as disciples of Christ.
In prosperous Singapore, how should Christians think about wealth, generosity, justice and faithful discipleship in light of God’s Kingdom?
Join Dr Clive Lim as he explores these biblical questions and their implications for Christian life today.
