The National Council of Churches of Singapore is saddened to learn of the recent incidents that have caused the members of the Jewish community to feel singled out or unsafe. Antisemitism in any form has no place in our society and must not be tolerated.
We welcome and affirm the remarks by Mr K. Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Coordinating Minister for National Security, that every community in Singapore – regardless of size – has the right to feel safe and protected. Such assurances are vital for fostering trust and maintaining social harmony.
