Topic: Democracy and the Common Good
Speaker: Prof Joseph Liow & Rev Dr Jeremy-Joe Tan
Date: 21 March 2025
Time: 7.30 – 9.30pm
Venue: Bible House

Synopsis
In our plural and diverse societies, the notion of “common good” is acknowledged as a guiding principle. But what exactly is the ‘common good’ and how do we go about defining it? What about the relationship between political systems of government and the pursuit of the common good, in particular, democracy and the common good? How should Christians view the relationship between democracy and the pursuit of the common good?
Join us as we deliberate and converse together over these questions.
