The Ethics of Mitochondrial Replacement Technology: A Response by the National Council of Churches of Singapore to the BAC Consultation Paper Entitled, ‘Ethical, Legal and Social Issues Arising from Mitochondrial Genome Replacement Therapy’

In April 2018, the Bioethics Advisory Committee of Singapore (BAC) conducted a consultation on the ethical, legal and social issues arising from mitochondrial genome replacement technology. This paper is the response of the National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) to the BAC’s consultation paper. It was written by Dr Roland Chia at the invitation of NCCS. Dr Chia also represented NCCS at a closed-door discussion conducted by the BAC as part of its consultation.
