Rev Dr Edwin Tay is Principal of Trinity Theological College and an ordained minister of the Methodist Church in Singapore. At TTC he teaches in the area of Christian theology. Prior to serving at TTC, he served as Lecturer in Systematic and Historical Theology at the Biblical Graduate School of Theology and was a former staffworker with the Fellowship of Evangelical Students.
An alumnus of the National University of Singapore, Edwin trained in theology at the Biblical Graduate School of Theology, the University of London, and the University of Edinburgh.
Edwin is the author of the book, The Priesthood of Christ: Atonement in the Theology of John Owen (1616-1683), Studies in Christian History and Thought (Milton Keynes: Paternoster Press, 2014). Other representative publications include “Christ’s Priestly Oblation and Intercession: Their Development and Significance in John Owen” in The Ashgate Research Companion to John Owen’s Theology (Aldershot: Ashgate, 2012), pp. 159-170, and “Puritan Demonology in the Culture of ‘the Godly’”, Church and Society, 15.3 (2012), 145-151.
